I'm not against vegans/vegetarians, but I don't understand their logic. Some animals also eats other animals, some also eats humans, and we eat them. That's how life works.
Biologically, humans were not intended to have a vegetarian diet. If a woman is nursing babies, she should eat meat or else the baby will FUCKING STARVE TO DEATH because the milk will lack nutrients found mostly in meat.
It really depends on the situation. I prefer to get my meat from people that have good ethics when it comes to caring for their animals and what their animals are fed.
We can't categorize humans as a species though. Many of us have different beliefs on not only what we eat but also on religion, politics, and even marriage. I do understand that "by nature" we are supposed to eat meat but I not only do not like the taste of meat, but I also do not like how animals are treated to get that meat.
I completely understand the desire to have humanely slaughtered meat, everything deserves to be humanely slaughtered (except serial rapists, serial murderers, and other such whatnot. I want them skinned alive and misted with vinegar). However, you cannot deny your body meat or meat substitutes. Soy-meat substitutes are perfectly fine, beans are fine, fish (if you eat that) are also fine. Just don't fucking breastfeed your fucking spawn if you don't fucking eat any fucking meat based fucking products because that fucking baby will fucking die.

I'm a bit riled up at that because of the sheer stupidity someone has to have in order to kill their baby through malnutrition because of their own shitty misguided beliefs that all meat is murder and bad.
Although true that if anyone decides to have a baby, eating meat would be essential for their survival, but right now that is not a concern of mine. I do have substitutes and protein can be found in many more places than you'd expect, though.

Erm, if you eat all the plants, what will the animals have to eat?
I don't think you understand how this works... Plant will grow and die no matter what, and it's okay if we use them while they are still living as long as we are doing so sustainably. Both vegetarians and omnivores have to eat them, whether animal or not. As far as sustainability in growing plants, we're doing pretty good right now, so that isn't really a argument/concern right now.
I have a form of anemia that keeps me below blood transfusion level. I take six times the rda of chelated iron every day just to be able to function. I couldn't be a vegan if I wanted to. Everyone's choices should be respected. Im looking at you, vegans!
* gestures at the comment section and the amount of down votes vegans are getting and the upvotes "FOUND THE VEGAN" is getting* "Everyone's choices should be respected."
Keep pretending it's the the non-vegans who criticize others for their food choices. Doesn't change reality. It's always the vegans who bring up, point out, accuse, imply, guilt trip etc others about their food choices. ALWAYS. Must have hit a raw nerve. Thr truth can do that, but be careful because if you can't handle the truth, people will stop telling it to you.
* again gestures at the comment section and the lack of vegans "bringing up, pointing out, accusing, implying, and guilt tripping" people who eat meat* (also please don't group all of us into one category, we're not all assholes :)
I like how they are called youngmushroom. Are vegans starting to believe they aren't even made out of flesh and bone now? animal bones can actually be used as fertiliser. Is there a special 'This product was not grown in animal bone fertiliser'? because I am pretty sure that still goes against the vegan way. If you are a vegan its only polite to tell someone before you go to their house and eat. Because if there is only meat you can't complain.

Are you actually serious? Vegans don't think they're made out of mushrooms, and for you to assume that they do just because of a Tumblr username is one of the most ridiculous things ever. Also, what did going to someone's house for a meal have to do with anything on this post?
Please just respect people's choices, then maybe they'll respect yours. No, I'm not a vegan, but that comment was just honestly ridiculous.
I have been vegan for 10 years (as has my husband) and have two perfectly normal healthy children - that have been raised vegan since birth. I never ate meat / drank milk when I was pregnant/ breast feeding and ... Shock horror ... They're not dead (or malnourished) in fact doctors have said that they are in amazing health and don't need to take any supplements as all their nutrients come from plant based foods (broccoli/kale ect = iron).. The so called 'stupid vegans' killed their children/ babies because they completely substituted mothers breast milk for soy & almond milk.. I'm afraid that these people would have killed their babies even if they weren't vegan (as cows milk isn't suitable for newborns either). So please don't categorize all vegans as the same - some are just stupid (and don't ensure they are eating all the nutrients they need) :)
