Cool but instead of using a lot of electricity why not just use a sponge?

I grew up in Asia and it's a pain in the ass to scrub the blackboards (the teachers make the kids do it)

Some schools in America make/let the students clean the blackboards too. I never thought it was that big a deal.

Because using a sponge takes much more effort than building that machine. Or do sponges cost a fortune in Japan?

They can afford that expensive looking eraser, but they have a chalk board? Like really? You coulda gotten a white board so you wouldn't have to hear all those crappy skratch marks

WRONG. This device records everything written on the board while it erases it, then students can look at the images online later. We had lots of them at my school.
