I hate it when girls randomly play with my hair (it's not long they just like playing with my fluffy hair to give you an idea try petting a cat and that's sort of what is like just not as soft) but they do it so often I don't resist... :|
Yes it is, but they don't do it very often because
a) men feel like being beaten/harrassed by a woman makes them weak,
b) it happens much, much less than vice versa
I swear I read a stat that men face more sexual harassment than women. Or maybe it was domestic violence or something. Or I could be totally delusional, but either way, NOT acceptable for either gender to be harassed!!
I Wikipedia'd an article about domestic violence. I'm not saying it's a 100% valid source, after all anyone can edit it, but the article says that men are more likely to use violence, but women can be just as violent, if not more, when provoked.
As to what concerns sexual harassment, I read some statistics that said that 65% of women were harassed and 25% of men, out of which most were gay/bi men who were attacked because of their sexuality.
But who knows, we can't believe everything on the internet. And you're right, harassment shouldn't be acceptable for any gender!
There was a video that said 50% of domestic violence happened to men, but it was from korea or singapore or something (I don't know why those are similar in my brain, it's weird I know), and again there's no way to be sure it's a valid source, but maybe that's what you read Kibeth?
I feel like if someone makes you uncomfortable, you should say something. It might not get anything done, but it should, and some people will stop if they know. (As a girl, even I know the hair thing. Why the fuck some girls are so obsessed with touching other people's hair I don't know.)
Plus... if people start saying something, maybe things will change. I think a big part of this is people not realizing just how uncomfortable it makes guys feel.
