All I can think when seeing this is "there is no way that pile of books can be stable..."
Besides, slightly exhausted? More like with homicide tendencies towards the author (especially if the series have yet to finish, and the cliffhanger is slowly killing us and/or driving us insane)
Not slightly exhausted. Every time I finish a really good book I feel as though I have lived a lifetime or gained another soul. Not in the sense that I'm gathering souls (maybe I really am, or not, you can't prove anything), but that another soul has become a part of me and I have lived through it all and more. Most times, I'll feel exactly like the main character of a book for a time after finishing the book. And it's bloody fantastic. Thank you, literary world, for allowing me to experience such a thing.
"Slightly exhausted"? Oho, my friend, you know nothing. I feel completely exhausted and empty inside when I finish a book. It's like "and what am I supposed to do with my life now?"
