That's the same site I found and she does not offer any explanation as to how it works, nor does the link that claims to, it only provides instruction on how to execute the pose.

In the third sentence of the blog entry, she contradicts the claim herself by stating:
"Honestly, nothing can replace those lost minutes spent in the deep sleep stages of NREM (non-rapid eye movement) sleep, besides more NREM."

The fact of the matter is that if you really do suffer from some of the ailments that this is suppose to relieve; nervous system issues, unhealthy breathing, illness or weakened immunity... you need immediate medical attention, not yoga. Truely being afflicted by any one of those could be fatal and yoga won't help.
