It didnt sound like sarcasm, but whatever xP
I thought it would be too cold to wear only a dress to the top of a mountain but as you said the dress is very thick itself so its not that cold :)
Since you live in a "low" country, I understand why you are so baffled by the fact that she is on top of this "mountain" as you so lovely put it, in just a dress. You could hike up to these fjord-sides in just a shorts and a t-shirt in the summer. It's not Mt. Everest.
The dress is called a bunad, and consists of a thick, very heavy woolen fabric + all the silver and the underskirt and blouse. I promise, my bunad weighs the same as me. Additionally, it costs around 4,500 dollars, so she took a big risk hiking up that mountain in it! I would be so scared to ruin it.
She could've hiked up in normal clothes, and carried her dress all the way up the mountain.
That would be so stressful on her arms if it's really heavy O_O
I remember reading an article about this, and she climbed up halfed dressed, so without all the silver and "accessories", but she still needed to carry it all up.
