Actually this was on a tv show the actual line is a dirt trail about 2 miles into the woods

The rotation of earth actually made the spot a little more accurate now

It's not THE "center of the world", it's a point somewhere in a 40000 km (about 25000 miles) circle.

it was about 50 years before, now the rotation made it a lot more accurate to that spot in Quito

Yeah, it's pretty much in Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas in Ecuador as well, but it wasn't as pretty as Quito so they just put the monument there.

I'm pretty sure the centre of the earth is at the Earth's molten core... Not any certain poor southern american country on the OUTSIDE layer of the Earth

No, lol. Ecuador is divided into 3 parts and Quito is a relatively cold place in the highlands.
