c31107 I fail to see what this has to do with the post. If that is what you believe that is totally fine and up to you but don't go spouting it off in unrelated conversations and posts or you'll catch a lot of flak.
The "center tied knot" referenced virginity... And more importantly I was standing up for Godly values... something that people are afraid to do these days. Jesus was the absolute example of taking flack, even so that He died because of it. And don't worry, I won't force it on anyone... People today are so afraid of losing control, control that they THINK they have, but they don't have. People also despise authority... "It's my life, I'll live it the way I want to." And it's your choice to do JUST that; a choice given to you by the way, from God Himself, ironically. Christians, REAL christians can't force anything on anyone. All we can do is tell you (anyone and everyone) that there's a MUCH better way to live your life than the way YOU think is best, and that's God's way. God has our best interests at heart and everything found in the bible (properly interpreted) will PROVE that. :) Every single instance of modern living is addressed in scripture, either directly, or in concept.
Hey guys, don't downthumb him. He wasn't forcing his beliefs on anyone, just stating them. He has a right to do that. Forcing beliefs is yelling at someone when they have a different view and telling them that they are wrong. I think that needs to be made clear.
First of all, pixiedust, he DID say people who don't do what he is saying are wrong: "control that they THINK they have, but they don't have" and "there's a MUCH better way to live your life than the way YOU think is best, and that's God's way." pretty clearly shows him telling other people they are wrong, so by your definition he is forcing beliefs. Second of all just as he has the right to express his beliefs people have the right to downvote what he says, nobody flipped out and insulted this person they just downvoted him. I think THAT needs to be made clear.
I believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I also remember that the Bible as we know it was put together by Constantine at the counsel of Nicea so that the Roman empire would be united under Christianity. Many books were chosen to be excluded from the Bible. So I take the Bible with a grain if salt but my faith in God is unshaken because of personal experience. Under no circumstances should any religion be forced on someone. Also none should be looked down upon because they live a certain lifestyle. I love gay people just the same as I love straight people. Same goes with atheists. You can present someone your beliefs and if they want to hear more, by all means indulge them. If not, find another subject to talk about. You never know, they might turn out to be a really great friend.
Well I'd say not much because mostly only in Bavaria and Badem-Württemburg, maybe in Austria and it's mainly only worn in Oktoberfest, so its a rare occurunce to be worn. (Oktoberfest is mainly celebrated in München and some parts of Austria)
*Baden-Württemberg
Actually even though the Oktoberfest is traditionally from Bavaria or Munich in particular it is celebrated in many other regions of Germany as well.
It may seem odd, but I came across a post like this on Tumblr where it just showed hair bows. Where a girl wore her bow around her ponytail/bun showed relationship status.
