Why must people be like this?! I'm a girl and I fucking love that shirt! That's what I thought BEFORE all this feminist bullshit started up!
You know it really says something about humanity when we make a scientific breakthrough but all people care about is what the guy who made the breakthrough is wearing.
Fake SJW's and Feminists seriously tick me off. We're not supposed to judge people by what they're wearing remember?
Science is the shit and this guy landed a rover, I believe, on a fucking comet.
I agree, when I heard he was being shamed for wearing that shirt I thought,"What's wrong with his shirt I like it." So, as a girl, I'd like him to know that now I think his shirt is awesome and thank him for his work.
Those Women: We can wear whatever we want and you have to respect it!
But you can't wear that shirt because it has fake women in skimpy clothes digitally printed on it!
He did a great thing, yes, and we'll learn much from this expedition. But I'll never shake the feeling that if I ever talk to him I'll be doubting myself he'll ever take me seriously and respect me. I mean nothing to him since I' ma woman.
To give some perspective, imagine wearing a watermelon shirt to a Black Pride rally, or blasting Chris Brown at a Domestic Violence event. Are you breaking the law? No. Are you being tacky and ignorant of people's feelings?
He doesn't deserve this complete and utter bullshit. Try being considerate. Maybe he was in an anime mood. And by that logic, YOU can't have a photo of a shirtless guy anywhere. That would be objectifying men. Sorry, but logic win this one.
I don't care what shirt anyone wears as long as they are wearing a shirt. It was a cool shirt and if he has stopped wearing it because of this then that's just sad. He was probably wearing it so he could show appreciation to his friend who made it. People should be judged on what they do, not what they wear. He has just done something important and will probably continue to do so. Something more than most of us will ever do. So sir, you deserve a pat on the back and a large drink for your achievement.
So are feminism and feminaziism the same things now or what? Because I'm a girl who believes in gender equality, not this bullshit. This guy just played a role in a huge scientific breakthrough. If people are offended by the shirt he wore, then that's their own problem and they should just shut up about it.
I'm sorry, but if guys like that(who need more thanks) weren't around, those girls wouldn't be able to even use the pile of plastic and electricity nearest to them. Thank them and suck it up that he wore that shirt. Until it offends girls to the point where he looks like a wife beater, shut up, sit down, and enjoy your technology.
Maybe women don't like being objectified. Maybe women want to be taken seriously. Maybe I want to go into engineering, I see that shirt, it's an alert to in me head that this man will never take me seriously because I am a woman. Is he sexist? I don't know him. Did he show lack of judgement? Yes.
I don't think it matters that a girl made the shirt (what, if a guy made the shirt it would be terrible but if a girl did it's fine? that's not sexist at all). I also think it's kind of bad judgement on his part, and especially when you're in such a public setting you should probably make a better judgement call on what to wear.
No, he didn't deserve it at all, and that wasn't what I was saying. No one ever deserves to be treated the way he was, certainly not for something as simple as that. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a poor choice, any more than it would be a poor choice to wear skimpy clothing while walking down dark alleys, no matter how much you or anyone else likes what you're wearing.

Does that sound familiar to you?
