I don't see it as having changed, it's more growing to a new potential out of many possibilities... New potentials that are compatible. Spaghetti sauce and potato chips don't exactly go together after all.

When you spell out that one has to be fried in boiling oil, and the other has to be crushed to a fine pulp for them to be a perfect couple, the whole analogy falls apart.
I beg to differ. Suffering through all that for love shows way more devotion then just getting bit on the neck. This potato and tomato did what ever they had to to find a way to be matched together. This is a great analogy for what people do for love. I'm not comparing this to Twilight, I'm saying it's better. I'd much rather watch an animated movie based on this sketch then watch that vampire movie again.
