We have these guys in our garden in the Adelaide hills. They are called Blue-Toungue lizards

i don't know what the hell kind of blue tongues you have in your garden but I'd get help.

That's not a blue tongue, that's a perentie goanna. Blue tongues are tiny compared to that. Perentie are found in central Australia (I live 4 hours from Alice Springs), and find plenty of them.
