Ponies like the Shetlandpony was breed to be small enough to work in mines, pulling carts. They are the stronger horsebreed in the world (according to their size) and they are pretty damn awsome!

This is actually a miniature horse. They're bred to be tiny, that's pretty much all, but he sure is cute!
