Well black history is a part of American history but there is so much more, but I do see his point! Though I like black history month because we acknowledge what they have done or accomplished
Why can't we acknowledge great accomplishments all year round when you say "them" it sounds like they aren't part of everyone else, even though they are
I didn't say them, though. To me, it's more like a school thing. Besides I'm talking about past accomplishments not present. They do it for hisoanics, too.
the issue is when people take the tiniest thing and turn it into a racial issue. Picture of a black man after a lion bit him, "that's racist". I have literally seen this.
That's definitely a problem, but that doesn't mean the solution is to stop talking about racism in general.
Racist ideals and opinions won't just go away if non-racist people stop talking about them.
I don't think he means to stop talking about them that literally. I think he means to stop using the term so lightly in every day life and only when necessary. In a way, by highlighting one race over others to make up for them being victims of racism- IS racism, and opens more doors for people to throw comments.
I don't know, I think it's an awfully large leap going from "stop talking about it" to "stop using the term so lightly". Maybe, but I find it dubious.
Also, highlighting one race isn't racist, in order for it to be racist it would have to suggest that one race is superior.
Either way Morgan's still wrong, as using "racist" more responsibly won't, in itself, solve racism.
Real Jews are all Hebrew, as Jews are said to be the Chosen People, so converts are just fake Jews, as their bloodline is not of the Chosen People.
And I suppose you can argue semantics if you want, but it is well know that the word "Hebrew" is used to identify Semitic Israelis, i.e. the chosen people since ancient times.
