[BIO INCOMING]
It's true. Scott Cawthon was originally a part of "Hope Animation", a project of Christian animators aiming to spread the teachings of Jesus Christ. He has since moved on to making different kinds of games, including Chipper and Sons Lumber Co., Sit 'n Survive, The Desolate Hope, and his most successful work, Five Nights at Freddy's.
I went to Chuckey E Cheeses for my friends little brother's 5th birthday party. At this one, there's a 'do it yourself' hour where people can pay a certain amount of tickets to move the animatronic band around with a little remote control. My friend thought it would be hilarious so scare me. Long story short, I'm banned from that Chuck E Cheeses for life.
Not surprising. ID software, as a big fuck you to Nintendo, gave the console source code for Doom to a Christian Bible game company. From that they made the Noah game... and learned how to override the SNES authentication with a piggyback cartridge.
I was drawing the parallel between the two, in that Christian organizations sometimes have "behind the scenes" associations with groups that may seem to conflict with them.
