That's how I ended up with Ax. He was a stay that I fed whenever I saw him. One day he followed me, nearly got run over and now he's mine.

My dog took a bullet for me and he wasn't even mine at the time. I adopted him after he recovered and now he's just drooling on my lap.

There was a stray dog by the mall that I used to give all of my leftover food to. He was just a mutt, nothing special. So a couple of years ago my mom and I went to do some shopping. We walked outside after buying my dad a real nice watch and I guess some dick wanted the watch. He held my mom and me at gun point and shouted at everyone around us that if they called the police he would shoot. I managed to run a bit closer to the mall entrance but the dude was no idiot and he saw me and opened fire. The dog that I used to feed saw and quite literally jumped into the line of fire and I was able to run and call the police. My dog took 5 bullets and lived. I adopted him and he hasn't left my side since. He lost a leg but he doesn't seen to mind much.

We have 2 adopted dogs, 2 adopted turtles (one we found in a trash can) and one adopted tortoise. Everyone needs to do their part and stop buying pets they don't want to take care of forever, and fix their dogs.
