I don't know what is wrong with my brain, but I read the sentence "So we took her in." And thought it said "So we took heroin." I just sat there wondering how in the world that could be a logical response to that situation. Then the deer started thinking it was a dog.

Please never do this. Take any injured or orphaned wildlife to your nearest wildlife rehabilitation center so they can have the best chance at leading a normal life. No matter how cute the baby is, it deserves to have its own life, not the life you create for it.
