Tylerchu : a different base system? Nope, sir. Base 10 is the smallest in which 9 exists, and "99" in any base greater than 10 is actually greater than 99, so nope.

Base 60 vs base 100?

Oh, that's what you meant. Then we're not talking about a base (in the mathematical sense).

What's a math base?

When you write the number 648, you know it means 6 hundreds, plus 4 tens, plus 8. So the value of this number is the value of the last digit, plus 10 times the one just before, plus 100 (ten times ten) times the one before, and so on, meaning we count in base ten, and implying we have ten different digits. But one can count in any base. Binary is base 2, so there are only 2 digits; 0 and 1. Hexadecimal is base 16, so with 16 digits; starting from 0 and going up to A (ten), B (eleven)... F (fifteen). I hope it kind of makes sense :)

I'm not quite sure. In base 60, you have 60 digits (from 0 to 59), so the hours, minutes and seconds would be written with one digit each.
