Actually it is that easy. Wash your face, less make-up, change pillow case every 2-3 days (when you wash your hair) and don't eat so much sugar or greasy food. No acne meds will help if you eat wrong or sleep on dirty pillow. Do this few months and everything will be gone (I speak from experience)
Actually, that may have helped your acne, but some people have an autoimmune disorder where the body reacts to itself. Sebaceous glands over-produce and cause inflammation of pores, specifically on the face, back and shoulders. So, no, if that's the case, washing your face and changing your pillow won't help. If anything, excessive washing will damage the skin and cause the sebacous glands to produce even more. "I'm speaking from experience" (and advanced courses in Anatomy)
When you have autoimmune disorder, you should see a doctor, who will give you meds to cure your acne. When you just have teenage acne, cause you don't take care of your skin - this is the solution. More than half of acne problems come not from disorders, but not proper cleaning habits.
Yes, improper "cleaning habits" do contribute to "teenage acne" but an auto immune disorder isn't something you can "cure." That's why it's called a disorder. Medicines can be prescribed to assist in the affects of the disorder but, "seeing a doctor who will give you meds to cure your acne" isn't an option.
Okay, "Mr. I'm going to mock you're clever usage of quotation marks," you're right, in a way. I'm not saying you're wrong, so relax. I'm saying you're not completely right (which apparently challenges your masculinity...) I'm simply saying that not everyone with acne is dirty. That's the end of it. Clearly, you're looking for an argument, and I'm not going to give you one. Kid, don't accuse people with acne of "being dirty." Not everyone has bad hygene like you.
Well, I'm not a kid, or a man, or dirty, cause I had no acne last 15 years of my life, which I cured when I was 10, simply washing my face and not eating junk food.
Some people are less prone to acne than others and you are one of them. Generally, washing your face and eating healthy can only help a little and that's just how it is
I Agree with hoopla and itsabritthp. I have washed my face and I have tried some of the face washes for acne, and they didn't work. I didn't eat much junk food, but it didn't work. Was I being dirty? No. The explanation: not everyone gets acne the same, no treatment works the same. It's different for those who have it. (Luckily, my acne has began clearing up.)
It could be hormonal. That's why many women sometimes have acne on their period or pregnant.Cleaning sure helps a lot, but it cant erase it completely depends to what trigger it.
I have tried a lot of prescriptions and stuff for acne but I just started using the Mary Kay acne treatment kit (or whatever it's called,) and my skin has been so clear and smooth. So with anyone struggling, just try it.
When you go through puberty a lot changes in your body. You start having less than pleasant side effects such as body odour, acne, mood swings, etc. Its perfectly natural. Some it affects more than others but that's just how it is. Teens and young adults are prone to acne, regardless of eating or cleaning habits. Your hormones are just being assholes
A tip that worked for me in high school, make sure your pillows and pillow cases are clean as well as only using clean towels to dry your face. It really helped
Ok this pisses me off. I had tried 6 different "top quality" topical cleansing systems and 3 different ingested medications from 3 different dermatologists. Acne is often caused by hormones and therefore no amount of face washing would help.
People: get over it.
