Yes, it's showing the different size crowd these artists, war, and tragedy produced. One direction attracts a very small group, eminen a larger one, and so on, while the crowd in Paris for the rally to show outrage over the massacre is very large.

Love the picture and all, but I want to point out that the One Direction picture is kinda misleading. I've actually seen the whole picture... and the stadium is completely full.
