I used to have this clock that, for whatever reason, insisted on beeping on the hour. Even at night. Every hour. Beep. Beep.
So I unscrewed the back, found the beeper, and cut it out. No more beeping.

The thing that beeps in cheap electronics is almost always a Piezo Buzzer. It's cheaper than a full blown speaker, and it only beeps (can't make all the sounds a speaker can). They look like this:

Conveniently enough, they have no impact on the rest of the circuitry when cut out. In fact, it looks like this guy did the same with his microwave:

Might be something to try, but of course, there's no turning the beeping back on, aside from soldering it back in.
