I agree with girlcalledbean. My sister has downs and I personally find that word offensive... Just my opinion. I try my best to refrain from using any word that might offend people not just the R word. I think If there's ever a chance that someone might be hurt by something you say, keep it to yourself. I can't tell you how many times I have heard things about people with disabilities that just kill me inside but I don't say anything because I'm shy. Please no hate :)

A special needs gentleman (downs I think) that I used to work with would call me a retard whenever I made a stupid mistake. When the boss lady told him that he couldn't do that he said her rules were retarded. She didn't know what to do. He had the same job over 15 years and was like a machine at it. We noobs disgusted him.
