On a similar note, I don't understand the big fuss over celebrities not wearing any makeup. It makes me wonder how people around me would look if they had been airbrushed and painted. We could all be as beautiful as the prettiest celebrities if we all had the chance. We could all be 'perfect' if we had the same opportunities.
Here's the thing about this comparison obviously he got his teeth fixed and a better hair cut, but the picture at the bottom is professionally done where as the top are candid shots. Very few people look good in candid shots. Side note: he looks kind of like Dave Franco
that's actually true, though. Standards of beauty have always been based on wealth. When poor people could barely get enough calories a day, it was popular to be chubby or curvy. Now that healthy food is expensive and desirable, being skinny is the trend. Fitness training and sports are also mainly available to the wealthy. Nice clothes, lingerie - name the trend, and it's almost undoubtedly based on wealth, anytime throughout history.
