It all depends on which guns you prefer. I've heard every name put in, from colt to winchester to sig sauer to smith&wesson.

I almost want to say that was an 1800s Colt advertising campaign. They had one of the first mass produced, interchangeable parts, and affordable revolvers. I am going entirely off of memory on this so I could be mistaken.

It probably originated that way. Over the years, people change it to their own liking.
