Well criminals are going to get their hands on guns no matter what, so if they're outlawd then regular people aren't going to be able to defend themselves
Another anti gunner troll. How many schoolchildren with mental illness were left untreated that eventually removed themselves from the picture? How many school children were killed by a relative of friend under the influence of drugs or alcohol? How many schoolchildren were killed in reckless or drunk driving automobile accidents? How many schoolchildren were beaten and killed for their phone/shoes/bicycle/money? How many school children were killed with explosives? How many schoolchildren have died from an accidental overdose? There are many problems in our schools today stop acting like law abiding citizens owning firearms is such a huge problem.
According to section 842 of this PDF - http://www.atf.gov/files/publications/download/p/atf-p-5400-7.pdf - making bombs without a license is illegal as well. Does that stop determined bombers?
If someone is determined to hurt others using weaponry, they will get their hands on said weaponry regardless of laws.
What would be even worse is taking defense mechanisms away from innocent citizens and victims.
Guns are not the problem. If a criminal wants a gun, do you think a new law will make them go, "Uh oh, guns are illegal now, guess I'll kill these people some other time" The people who shoot up schools are psychopaths, and criminals. Guns existing are not the issue.
In all the cases school gun violence that I looked into, the gun was NOT obtained legally by the shooter(s). So., there are plenty of gun regulations that deter the law-abiding, but that doesn't seem to affect the people who are willing to murder.

Then, the media splashes the "event" all over, giving these twisted f()#s their 10 minutes of fame. We debate that over and over, keeping the nurderers "alive" in our consciousness / conversations, which is what drives some of them to do what they did.
.
Adding more laws will not help, since it seems like we're not enforcing the ones we already have. Where are the most strict gun laws? Chicago, Detroit...are these places gardens of peace and safety? More laws aren't the answer.
