I don't know about that. The window the shooter is in is too close to the balcony. He'd have to lean out further than he is now to get a clean shot without hitting the wall.
I know they can curve bullet paths with pistols and have guns that can shoot around corners, but not with a straight rifle at that close a distance. That's like shooting a bullet, then telling it to turn left mid-flight!
