I had a look into this and as it turns out, it actually is a real picture and not photoshop as one might expect.

The lava itself isn't blue, what we are seeing is burning sulfuric gases and the flames have been known to reach 16 feet high. In some cases, the sulfer gas can also condense to liquid and flow, giving the appearance of lava.

(PS, this picture is the Dallol volcano in Ethiopia, but the Kawah Ijen volcano in East Java, Indonesia is also known to burn blue.)
