Because it's the standard great song. Just like doing drug trials for the FDA, a pharm company has to compare their treatment to the standard treatment. It's one of the many ways to eliminate bias.
While a lot of new music is not lyrical genius, it still serves to entertain. Some songs still have lyrics that will bring a tear to your eye, like Imagine Dragon's Demons. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mWRsgZuwf_8. Every genre has a set of thought inspiring songs and a few that are well organized noises designed to please the ear rather than the mind. The comparison in this post was done for humor as it compared a 70s power ballad with a dance club song. All music pleases somebody, some when it is written, some performed, some at the max volume your car can handle (and some pleases when it is turned off).
Well, the lyrics may not have been very creative...
But in the end, people still listened to it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

INTERESTING FACT TIME
That little emoticon thing you used at the end - that character in the middle (the one that makes up the smiley face) is the Japanese character for "tsu" in the Katakana script.
The more you knowwwww
The song isn't lyrical genius, but you can't exactly use that song to represent Beyonce as a whole. It's not fair. She does have some great songs honestly. They certainly may not compare to those of Queen, but it's not like she's a terrible artist :/
I love Beyoncé and Run The World (Girls) is a song to show that women can do whatever men can as well. It's not fair by comparing them together, to be honest. Beyoncé is a great writier and a great singer. Queen is a band with more than one person in the group. Don't compare them together. They're totally different.
"music snobbery was the worst kind of snobbery. Oh, you like those noises? Those sounds in your ear? You like them? They're the wrong sounds! You should like these sounds in your ear." --Dara O'Briain
