Well I live close to the top picture and yes I have wifi courtesy of satellite internet and a modified router I can be up to 300 ft from my living room and have full signal.
Even though being in the city is fun sometimes, I much prefer a small town. Walking through a forest/woods is the most serene thing. Love every second of it and love being in a small town so close to one.
The guy who made this doesn't know how much the woods suck. Unless he's Tarzan then he'll have it pretty rough, and if he is Tarzan then he wouldn't know how to use a computer because he's fucking Tarzan.
The woodlands provide a lot of the air used on earth, animals, and places to explore.
Cities do none of that, pretty much the opposite, save for the latter.
You need to experience the wilderness at least once to appreciate it, the feeling you get when you find something that you may be the only human to know about is awesome. I've found things on my own property in the woods that I can't begin to describe, like a 20 foot wide by 15 foot deep pond with a maple tree hanging over it and surrounded by wild rose bushes. You don't have to get yourself lost to find some pretty cool things besides a gps unit can prevent that.
PRESIDIO is not a forest. It was a military base years ago. Is it pretty, sure, but you are just a walk away from the city...literally. The GG Bridge is right over it, Disney Museum is there as well as a couple of cafes. Forest don't have that.
Right. That is my point. You can stand in a eucalyptus grove, then walk to the ocean, then walk to golden gate park. Also, Muir woods isn't that far away in the north bay. I really wouldn't call renting in the presidio "city living." It feels pretty remote and nature-immersed.
