And that guy deserves an assault and battery charge...maybe even some terroristic threatening thrown in.

My girlfriend (in a vw beetle) accidentally pulled out in front of a huge speeding truck (Lifted dodge with crazy metal bumpers) and was hit while I was talking with her on the phone. The people in the truck said she was texting. So this post bothers me, this person doesn't have that right.

You shouldn't be on your car in a moving vehicle period!

Getting hit seems traumatic enough, this guy was too intense. I'm generally armed in my vehicle and I might have shot this idiot if I were in this situation because I would be fearing an attack. You don't get to grab people and break their stuff because they are doing something wrong. They will have to pay up and deal with the legal ramifications.

Well first of all the one texting broke the dudes car... What is more expensive? An overpriced iPhone or a car that your iPhone just (technically) wrecked. I don't care if you pay for the damages, don't text and drive. Second of all you can't just shoot someone because you feel threatened. Especially because "you" just crashed his car and therefore the man was pissed. If you shot him I think you would just get more charges and it would probably not be seen as self defense. I don't know exactly how the American (I suppose it is) law system works, but I think this would apply.

(Extreme necromancy but eh) the moment he makes those fast movements of grabbing towards you it becomes self defense. He reached into the car and probably made contact with the other person. Legally speaking if you shot someone in response to them anger fueled grabbing at you like that your in the right.
