My Economics professor told us a story about Korean cars (since KIA is a KOREAN brand of car), that there was this man who complained about how weak Korean cars are, unlike any other brands like Toyota, Honda etc. Then a someone from Korea said: "Well, in Korea, we change cars every 2 years." so there's no need for the manufacturers to make the cars tough as steel should be :p
