That freind will get left behind and a text telling them:
"We've already left. If you're still comming, meet us there."

Reminds me of my mother, actually. Picking up my 8-year-old brother at 10:30pm for no reason other than she felt like it.

If you know Arabs, then you'll know that this is actually the norm for us. (Normal, but still pretty annoying.)
