You may feel like you're putting me down, but really, you're just inflating my ego more.

I used this tactic throughout middle school to make bullies go away. There was one incident in sixth grade where I was casually talking to myself and making hand gestures when this mean girl says, "You're so weird." Without skipping a beat, I responded, "Thank you!" and with a confused expression on her face, she said,"No, that wasn't a compliment." I just looked her straight in the eye and said,"That was the best compliment ever," and she walked away.

Well sometimes someone is so fucking stupid you can't help to think about them.
