Well, I can imagine something worse happenning than kids sword-fighting with dildos. The tampons are a different thing, though. They might swallow one. D:
Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to give these children dildos just so they can take this picture? And what kind of parent would be okay with someone giving their child a dildo just to take a picture?
it might have been photoshopped into the photo...but if not I'm with you guest

I definitely understand where you guys are coming from and I agree to a certain extent but they're kids, they have no idea what they are or what they're used for
Well, as I've heard it, some people give guns into their 6-years old child's hands so I can't really feel your outrage due to kids being handed plastic object that can't actually harm them in any way.
I got my first gun when I was five. I think if a child is supervised, they should be given guns at a young age, so they can get a feel for what it can do, and take care around them, not just be afraid of them like so many are today.

I really hope you mean toy gun? Because no one except trained professionals should be handling guns
@girlcalledbean, following your logic we should line up five-year-olds in kindergartens and hand them poisonous snakes so they wouldn't be afraid of those when they grow up. I mean, what can happen, really if you're supervising them, right? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?? You leave a kid unattended for a blink of an eye in your living room watching cartoon and next thing you know they've accidentally set the house on fire. And you'd fucking advise giving them a GUN??

Children shouldn't be given guns
Teens shouldn't be given guns
Adults shouldn't be given guns
The elderly shouldn't be given guns
UNLESS THEY ARE TRAINED POLICE OR MILITARY PERSONNEL.
And people wonder why places like America have so many shootings occur
Supervised. Closely. Like, someone right behind them, who is used to using guns themselves (whether in idpa, hunting, or professional situations). With those circumstance, there would have to be freak odds for someone to get hurt. You would be insane to leave them unattended with a gun, even just for a blink of eye, though. I said supervised, as in, closely supervised. And @lindsmolinari guns are very different than poisonous snakes. that was a terrible analogy. Poisonous snakes at on their own accord. Guns do not. And I can assure you I am not 'out of my mind.'

How can you possibly think giving young children a gun is okay? That's just then teaching them that using them is normal and okay. No they shouldn't be afraid of them (they should still be cautious of them because it's a gun for crying out loud) but everyone using a gun isn't normal.
I think, in appropriate situations (idpa/rifle competition, target shooting, licensed concealed carry, trap, hunting, etc), using a gun is, as it should be, normal and okay.
Well, kids act on their own accord, too and if you give a kid something dangerous, it's bound to eventually backfire in a bad, bad accident. it doesn't matter how closely you watch them. that's just dumb, it's tempting fate, it's fucking moronic.
Another thing that is fucking moronic: thinking that devices that were bult with the signle purpose of killing are a thing everybody should have around.
You gun-pro guys don't seem to understand that safety, as you call it, doesn't come from everybody owning a gun. It comes from NOBODY owning a gun. Since that's impossible to achieve, only trained professionals who know what they're doing should be allowed weapons.
Alrighty here. Kids will not act on their own accord if they have an adult right behind them, helping them, supervising them closely. I didn't say standing ten feet away. I mean right by them, directing them, and, even if the proper supervision was not present, I don't think the majority of kids over the age of say, five, will just run around shooting willy-nilly, as they do have a sense of reason at that age. And I don't believe I said anything about 'everybody owning a gun' to promote safety. Extensive background checks should, be conducted before a gun is sold to anyone....I do not believe everybody should be carrying guns to the grocery store.
5 years old kids believe in santa claus and flying raindeer. Surely they will be able to grasp the aftermath of someone being shot, the idea of death and permanency of it, right? You can't win me over with such a pathetic argument, saying you'd bet your and everybody else's safety on a 5-year-old's perception of reality and 'sense'.
you can stand as close as you please, the safest way to prevent horrible accidents is still keeping the fucking guns far far away from kids. actually, far far away from everybody who isn't a professionally trained person doing their job. i'm kind of repeating myself here.
As for 'everybody owning a gun', I'm glad to hear you don't think that way but some of gun-fans do, that's why I wrote that. Still, please, keep weapons away from kids.
Well, agree to disagree, I suppose. I'm not going to reiterate things I have already said (as we both have already started king), and we quite obviously, have different views. Nobody seems to be changing anybody's mind here.
Or just teach your kids about gun safety. Take them hunting to teach them the value of life and taking a life. Kids are smarter than you give them credit for.
