As I understand it, songs are written about experiences or incorporating a certain idea and using lyrics to get it across, so her subject matter makes sense (side note Taylor Swift made the most as an artist in 2014 so people obviously dig on the songs about boys thing I'll even admit it I enjoy it) now if her next album sounds like 'Ride the Lightning' then well have something to talk about.
it's not that she isn't good- it's that she's repetitive. It's been the same subject matter for years- it'd be nice to hear more songs like The Best Day
If it ain't broke don't fix it. All music is repetitive. No idea is original. You name it, it has been done before. Pop music, more specifically, has a blueprint and it works (read it makes the label and the artist money). As I stated, Ms. Swift topped the earnings list for musicians last year so what's the point of changing something that isn't broken.
People are like, "Oh, Ed Sheeran is ugly." Like bitch he has more talent in his pinkie than your whole body. He can write really good songs and can sing, way more than you. CASE CLOSED.
"Now I don't ever wanna be perfect
Cause I'm a singer you never wanna see shirtless
And I accept the fact that someone's got to win worst dressed"
From his song Take It Back
My point is that Ed might not be the most attractive, and he knows that, but that doesn't change the fact that he's talented and he's worked hard for what he has.
And that's fair. I don't like Metal but I would never say something like "Metallica is shit" because there are obviously millions of people out there whom this music appeals to
I've been a fan of his for almost 4 years now. I'm in lots of fandoms, but I think his fandom is the best because everyone is so caring and nice its just like a little nice community that keeps expanding
Cause I'm a singer you never wanna see shirtless
And I accept the fact that someone's got to win worst dressed"
