I lost it at Prince Caspian. That one sucked. Infinitely. Although the battle in the end was pretty good. And I kinda like the concept of Dawn Treader.
Exactly! Prince Caspian was an enormous letdown. And the CONCEPT for Dawn Treader was, indeed, awesome - the execution was deeply disappointing. I mean, overall, how can you possibly go wrong making movies with all these incredible stories you're pulling from, right? But they did. They went so very, very wrong.
Yes yes!! But I guess the problem for them was that Narnia was written more for children, and they were trying to bring in a bigger audience. Still, they sacrificed too much good content from the book. Also, I think the casting could have been somewhat better.

Agreed on all counts! I really enjoyed that guy (above) as Peter, and I thought Edmund was well cast, but Susan and Lucy were always very "meh" for me. I was hoping as they continued to make movies, those two would improve in acting (a la the Harry Potter gang), but they simply didn't. :(
And seriously, Dawn Treader was slaughtered. So tragic.

So I'm going to join now!
I thought that the actors who played Peter and Edmund were really talented and fit the role but yeah, Lucy was supposed to be "gay [as in happy] and golden haired". Susan was okay, I guess.

Oh! Oh! And I thought Tilda Swinton played the White Witch impeccably. She was spot on.

Urghjjjcfryjjfhjkbcvjn...
I don't know how to put it into words. I guess he played the character fine, I mean - Eustace is SUPPOSED to be obnoxious/annoying, right? But holy crap did that kid rub me the wrong way throughout the entirety of the movie.

Eustace is such a PRICK. Well, until he gets dragon-ified and then he's a lot better. I also thought that Ben Barnes was a pretty good Caspian. Not quite how I imagined him when reading the books, but he still fit the role.

Prick. Yes, that word is more accurate. ;) And yes, after he is dragon-ified, he is better, but even then. Something about his voice and the way he spoke = nails on a chalkboard to me. I though Ben Barnes was fine as Caspian, but I'm kind of indifferent to his performance.

Also, I have to say, this discussion has brought an urge to reread the books!

He is doomed to be forever annoying. Oh well, he kinda deserves it somewhat.
I just dug out my old set that was in my closet today! And now I remember why I loved them so much.
