I don't conform to gender segregation so I frequently just walk into women's only places just to send a message.

Er..... it's not gender segregation, it's common decency. If you were a woman, would you really want to be surrounded by male genitals in a bathroom?

While that's true, people think unisex bathrooms are hell. They aren't. All it changes is a few urinals on the wall, a lot more people occupying the toilets, and blood in the bin. That's pretty much it. It still isn't gender segregation, though. I'm just stating that people make this a bigger deal than it is.
