Then water evaporates, phone is dry again. The danger of wet electronics (most of them anyways) comes when you actually use the device while wet, not if you use it after that.
And even then, the amount of water that goes into a modern phone from melting snow is ridiculous.
Of course, but the sensible components of a phone are not that exposed. Whenever a phone gets "water damage" it's from water+ another circumstance that made it penetrate deep enough.
That could be pressure, big amounts of water, etc.
In this case, snow wont go into the phone until it's on water form. And when that happens, it will be slowly and pretty much no water will get in it. Plus, if it was dirty from before, even less water.
