That's not okay, a person's house and all their belongings at burning, fking get over yourself and be a decent person and put out the fire. The chief didn't have to go but he shouldn't have stopped the others from going

The others are the chief's family. It's stated that the lady filed a restraining order against him and his family.

Sort of...I think he meant it more as 'they are like my family'. If that makes sense? Like my work crew are like a big family to me..

From a legal standpoint the fire chief cannot approach the woman's house at all even if it's on fire, also it looks like the house in the picture was already a total loss anyway and not worth risking a human life to save something that would likely have to be razed and rebuilt anyway. I don't know about where you live but my local fire department is a very small one and if the building is too badly engulfed they will let it burn and do what they can to keep the fire from spreading to other areas since a house fire can very quickly become a wild fire and destroy a lot of acreage. Bottom line is a house and belongings can be replaced a life cannot.

Three dogs and a cat died because the homeowner didn't pay his annual firefighting fee of $75. It has nothing to do with an abusive or possessive ex husband.
