Smell of rain

I believe the smell of rain is called petrichor.

Did you know that that smell is already present prior to the rain. You just can't smell it until it rains because the added moisture in the air lets you smell things better.

*Unpopular opinion* I hate that smell O.o

they say that smell you get makes you vulnerable to cold o.O not sure though

Smells even better from clean dust/dirt. Like when it rains in outback Australia. *content sigh*
