I do this kind of stuff to my girlfriend all the time. I get things wrong on purpose and play dumb till she can't take it

Same; I intentionally switch the genders of people's names and refuse to call them anything else. For instance, if a guy's name is Patrick, I call him Patricia. xD

I don't do genders, I just butcher it. Abbey->Andy, Matt->Matthias, Cameron->Camameron...
