Well it is 100% UV Protection on the parts that are covered by the plastic slats. And since there is nothing in between they can't be held liable for what isn't covered by the glasses. After all the sunglasses are only ever effective on the parts they cover. It's not Disney's fault you didn't plan ahead to procure UV protection for areas of your body not covered by their product......or well that's what they could argue. Personally I would have to question the intelligence of anyone buying those glasses. I mean they're hideous for one and second only people with zero fashion sense would wear them. Oh and I guess you'd be stupid to think they'd protect your eyes from the sun too.
