most of these are probably taken in captivity where they don't have enough enrichment and get bored and chew on themselves. Also they're cats, cats are weird.

well they usually wrap their tails around their snouts to protect them from cold in the wild, so it's probably just a habit or a genetic thing

The have a very long tail which is necessary for steerin and balancing in the terreine the are at home. But can be also a hindrance, so the do this. Besides again there original home is cold, keeping when sleeping the tail over the mouth and nose to keep them warm.
