God does not prefer anyone. He loves everyone equally. He loves everyone unconditionally, regardless of whether they're the best person ever or the worst.
I wouldn't care so much about that if I was God as I would people using my name as an excuse to act like rabid asses, blowing things up, killing people and things like that.
As taught by the Church, the authors of the Bible were inspired by God to write the Bible with exact and total truth. This divine inspiration is equal to that of the Pope's infallibility as both are meant to display the word of God with complete and total accuracy. I disagree wholeheartedly with both of these principles because they promote the idea that we as humans can even begin to grasp the concept of a creator. No one should be able to say anything about God as we know absolutely nothing. "Knowing" such information would completely ruin the entire concept of faith.

What I meant was that people like to say things like "God helps those that help themselves" or other such things. Other than the bible which supposedly was written by people God was speaking through, we have so many sayings today that are meant to be what God supposedly intended but believers are really just saying what sounds best to them as if it were purely His intention
