I don't know what the Alamo is and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.

the Alamo was a very big event during the Texas Revolution. The Alamo building was an old Catholic Church where the last stand was made between Texans and the Mexican army, after a thirteen day siege. The Cruelty of how the Texans were slaughtered made many texans and American settlers to join the Texas army, And the Texans defeated the Mexicans in about a month

Yes and not one of the men at the alamo survived. Besides the battle of thermopolaye (300 spartans) the battle of the Alamo is one of the most famous last stands in history.

The Alamo was more about Mexico shoving it in our faces. The Alamo had no strategic military value and was out of the way of a real target. If it wasn't a mission with lots of innocents, I'm sure the men would have just left.

Well the santa anta couldnt control the city without taking the Alamo given it had actual fortifications and artillery and only about 30 texans were holding it.
