Sounds like jealousy describes this situation perfectly, and they even use envy in the definition. Yes, jealousy CAN mean feeling you will lose something you have, but words have many meanings and that is not its primary meaning in current times. Currently, envy and jealousy are synonyms.

If she is the kind of girl that would take a picture of the flowers to posted on social media....you are doing a great job. She doesn't have to do that if the friends saw it already making her look even better.
Of course it doesn't really matter at the end of the day whether anyone sees the flowers or not. But that doesn't change the fact that it feels good to be appreciate in front of others, and I mean that in the most unself-centered way as possible. She does not have to be the kind of girl who frequents social media to appreciate that. Stereotyping is a nasty habit.
