You don't have to have a boyfriend to experience heartbreak. Sometimes not having one hurts the most because you feel unwanted. That being said, this is still a true message :)

So, me and my friends from middle school had a little reunion, like 2 months ago and all of them except for me is dating someone, so they keep on asking me why and tried to pair me up with some guys they know, but the thing is, I don't really mind that I'm single now. I'm happy. It doesn't mean that I want to stay like that forever, but it'll come when the time is right. And as of now, 2 of them broke up with their bf's.

This applies to guys, too, even if it isn't talked about so much. I never saw the point of a placeholder bf/gf, though. Just focus on school/work and being the type of person you want to meet, and and that type of person should find and show their interest in you.
