Their songs are unique and distinctive, and have more in common with each other than they do with generic music from bands that follow the "successful pop song recipe." To a disinterested listener, ACDC songs really do sound alike because the distinctive guitar and vocals (even with two lead singers). But, some old coot could also say that all rock sounds the same.
