I keep seeing these posts about not caring for your parents and grandparents too. Like, I was raised so that when my mom gets sick we won't let her get out of bed. We do everything for her. And then when we're with family, we aren't absorbed in our phones so much that we ignore the world around us. We interact and have fun
It doesn't matter that they aren't over his ears, he's still completely ignoring his GRANDMOTHER. Old people in general you don't have to talk to. But this is his family, and family will always have stuff to talk about. You don't appreciate your family nearly enough if you think that your grandparents aren't different than strangers on the street.
"he's still completely ignoring his GRANDMOTHER."
You don't know that. He could just be glancing down at a text or something. Even if he's playing Angry Birds he could still be listening to her.
"family will always have stuff to talk about."
Wrong. I can only talk to my older brother for about 10 minutes before we run out of stuff to talk about. Not everyone's family is as close as yours.
@garlog this comes from good intentions but theres something missing in the relationship between you and your brother if you run out of things to talk about. Start to make a connection by sharing your life with him and he will with you. Maybe you're not close but someones got to make the effort and I'm talking from experience. Talking together regularly will build something. Friends will come and go but your brother will always be your brother.
