Easy for you to say that when you can always have your rights without batting an eye while some people get bullied for life only because they love a same-sex person.
Im sorry, and I'm proud marriage equality was finally achieved, but seeing "gay and proud" or anything like that all the time everywhere I look(even before it was legalized in all 50 states) gets a little repetitive and annoying. You don't see straight pride anywhere (and I understand that straight people never really had to deal with oppression) I feel like the main way to achieve equality is to not really categorize things. I don't see it as gay marriage, I just see marriage. I don't see black or white or latino people, I just see people. I don't really know how to put it in words without offending anyone but this is my viewpoint on it. I'm glad they achieved equality, I really am. And they deserve to celebrate it. But people who always flaunt their sexualities or anything get annoying at time to time.
Yea it works with straight people too. Every one hates the straight douche who keeps talking about ass and tits, so so if you're a gay guy who constantly talks about dick it's the same level of douche. Just be a normal human and you'll be treated like a normal human. If you walk around with a dildo necklace you're making your sexuality define you as a person, rather than being yourself.
We've been working for this for so long we're just so happy that we want to share all the rainbow-ness with the rest of the world. I get that it might seem like a little too much but it's not going to last forever, it's only been 2 days.
