Marriage doesn't remove much freedom; it's just a contract that gives you a few perks if you agree to some basic stuff, and some security should the couple grow apart.
Toxic partners remove freedom: the insecure, possessive, jealous or control freaks. My girlfriend is free to leave me at anytime, hang out with whoever she wants and do whatever she likes. The fact that we're still together after 5 years and never had a fight 'despite' her freedom is a great feeling. If I were limiting her opportunities to meet people, i.e. if I were jealous, I would not know whether she's with me by choice.
Or maybe I am one. Dum dum duuum. Seriously though, whatever one can solve by exploding in anger, one can solve better by being rational. I expect people to make sense, and considering the centuries mankind spent studying everything, it's not much to ask.
Well I'm glad y'all are happy. When I first read that you never had a fight, I assumed that meant you never had a disagreement, which is why I was surprised. Haha but now I understand what you meant
Finally, someone who's doing it right.
